REVIVAL: How?

NUMBER ONE: PRAYER

    
     I am assuming, of course, that reading the Bible, the Word of God, has been your first priority.  Do not neglect the study of the Bible in order to take care of other Christian activities.  Have the Word inscribed on the inside of your heart.  Read it, study it, live it daily.  That comes first!
     Before we can even think of being part of a revival (not to mention "The Revival"), there must be prayer.  Deep down, from the heart, earnest, serious prayer.  No revival on the face of the earth has ever come about without prayer.  Period.  If you want personal revival, you must have much prayer first.  If you want your church to have revival, gather the elders, leaders and all your prayer warriors and pray your heart out.  For how long? For as long as it takes for the Lord to answer you with revival.

Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly.

Summon the elders and all who live in the land

to the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord.  Joel 1:14

"Even now”, declares the Lord,

“return to me with all your heart,

with fasting and weeping and mourning.”

Rend your heart and not your garments.

Return to the lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate... 
Joel 2:12,13

     As The Revival is already upon us, I assume you have already been lead of the Lord to pray and you are ready to receive this blessing from the Lord.  My prayer is that God blesses first those who have prayed most earnestly for years, with tears and in desperation to see the Word preached with signs following; to see the sick healed, the lame to walk, the blind to see, the deaf to hear, and for many to be saved and God to be glorified.
Those prayer warriors will be the first to receive The Revival.  You have believed the Word of God and have prayed accordingly.  May God reward you abundantly.

     There simply cannot be revival in your life without effective prayer!

NUMBER TWO: RECEIVE

     Strange as it may seem, the saints must be shown to receive The Revival.  It is now here.  What a word of encouragement this is!  You have prayed and it is now time to receive.  The Lord is the God of timing.  Now is the time.  Now, your prayers will take on a different tone...pray that you may be strengthened to receive The Revival.

Then the Lord will be jealous for his land

and take pity on his people. (Joel 2:18)

Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God,

for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness.

He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.

The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with

new wine and oil. (Joel 2:23,24)

     Do we want the abundant showers of blessings?  Yes!  Do we want a great harvest ? Yes!  We want new wine until our cup spills over on everyone. We want abundant oil, which is the Holy Spirit power in us.  Finally!

     I fell asleep early one evening, but the Lord woke me up and spoke to me for five hours!  The Lord Jesus showed me that He would pour out “New Wine” on us (Revival anointing).  I thought new wine was not the best of wine if it was “new!”  Why would the Lord be using “new wine?”  He explained that it was new because no man had ever drunk of this wine.  It had been in heaven before the beginning of time and so, was actually the oldest wine in heaven and on earth!  The best was saved for last!  It is new, but it is old!

   The Lord showed me in the vision a huge barren, rocky hill sloping down towards a valley in the far hazy distance.  On this long hill, were clay jars (II Corinthians 4:7) arranged in rows.  Starting near the top of the hill were these clay jars side by side, each a little lower than the other.  They were set in long rows from one side of the hill to the other and zigzagging, one long row after another, all the way down towards the valley as far as the eye could see.  There were thousands upon tens of thousands of these clay jars!

   

   
   

        Suddenly the first clay jar in line (at the top of the hill) started to fill quickly with that New Wine!  It was bubbling up from the bottom of the clay jar, as the Lord filled it.  It filled to the brim and then overflowed into the other clay jars, filling them also, one at a time.  The New Wine was overflowing and splashing everywhere, in and around the other clay jars, and on the ground.  On it went, as all the jars one after another were getting filled (each jar filling the one next to it) all the way down the hill.

        Some clay jars were not filled to the brim!  One was filled only halfway and remained that way.  I was concerned and asked the Lord why He had filled that one only halfway.  I asked Him what would happen when that clay jar would run out of wine.  The Lord's arms and hands reached down from heaven, picked up the clay jar and began to pour it out into the other jars.  To my joy, that vessel (that was only filled halfway) kept being poured out, not running out, but being refilled continually form the bottom like a spring! (These are the shy, quiet, introverted saints who will receive the anointing and be used of the Lord nevertheless.)

   
   

   

        To the right of this vision were a few golden, silver, and brass vessels, bright and shiny, but they were not being filled. (This represents some church leaders who were looking on in bewilderment as the SAINTS were receiving The Revival "anointing!")

        I asked the Lord what was that first clay jar that got filled.  The Lord told me that the first clay jar was a man, ordained by God even before the beginning of time for this very purpose.  He will come to you in the spirit of John the Baptist, saying, “Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God... And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it.” (Isaiah 40:3, 5), also, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near,” (for our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back.) 

        This man will have a ministry of love, of power, and he will be able to hear the quiet voice of the Lord God of Israel. He will be the first to receive the "anointing" of The Revival (that is, to have his gifts fully manifested and empowered from the Lord Jesus Christ for the purpose of The Revival.)  That man will spread that "anointing," the Lord pouring him out so others can also receive that "anointing" (the saints receiving that "anointing" will in turn "anoint" others.)  

        By "pouring him out" means he will be given by the Lord Jesus to prophesy over the saints to release their God-given gifts, and for the Lord Jesus to empower them to use their gifts for The Revival work ahead.  The moment when the first clay jar is filled with New Wine is when The Revival will manifest itself... when it will be birthed. 

        Knowledge of the Word, repentance, love, humbleness, praise and worship of Jesus Christ, forgiveness and being able to keep your eyes on Jesus will all be part of who is to be used of the Lord through the empowerment (Revival) anointing.

   
   

   Anointing: Greek, chrio; to assign a person to a special task, implying a giving 

                                         of power by God to accomplish the task.

   
   

NUMBER THREE: PREPARE

     I placed “RECEIVE” before “PREPARE” so you may know what it is you are preparing for.  That perspective may help you know what to expect, as you prepare for The Revival.  Before we can receive the New Wine "anointing", we must prepare. Without proper, complete and radical preparations, there would be no radical Revival blessing.

     Here is another vision the Lord showed me to explain how to prepare:

     I saw lightning strike a place in Pensacola.  As soon as the lightning struck, it started a fire.  It was not a “consuming” or judgment fire. It was not a raging fire. It stayed low to the ground and spread quickly (like a grass or brush fire.)  It spread through the church (the saints) in Pensacola, then moved on into the city, the state, the nation, and then the rest of the nations of the world.  It moved quickly.

     I asked the Lord what this lightning was.  He said, “I do not want that there should be any mysteries in these last days.  The lightning is a man.  Lightning is very small, but it seems big because of its brightness.  This man is a clay vessel (a simple man), but because I have anointed him with the brightness of my Holy Spirit, he will shine brightly and will be powerfully used of me.  The fire is a refining and purifying fire. Submit to it.”

     This man who is the lightning is the same man who is the first clay jar to be poured out.  However, do not be overly concerned with this "man."  Keep your eyes on Jesus Christ, instead.  The Lord is the one who will truly bring Revival.  He will use many of you to accomplish His will.

     As this fire moved through the land, it was burning up anything in the saints that was dead or lead to death.  It burned up dead-end relationships, dead-end roads in your life – anything that would kill your relationship with Christ Jesus.  It burned up pornography, drugs, alcohol, lying, stealing, and other things that would hinder The Lord's Revival in your life.  This was the cleansing fire of Numbers 31:23.  Submit to it, saints of God.

     What could not be burned, the lord sent water and launderer's soap so your garments would be scrubbed clean and white as snow.  The Lord was sending the refiners fire and the launderer's soap of Malachi 3:2 to cleanse and purify you.  Submit to this, saints of God!  Let the Lord do His work in you. This fire and water will remove anger, jealousy, bitterness, envy, and especially unforgiveness.  If you are going to be equipped with The Revival anointing and the power of the Holy Spirit in you, those things cannot exist in your life.  Evil and Holy cannot occupy the same space.

     Submit to the Lord now to have all these “dead things” removed and your heart purified.  You ask the Lord for it, submit to it, and the Lord will do it quickly, like a cleansing fire. There is not much time left. The Revival is with us.

     The purpose of this cleansing fire is two-fold:

1. It is necessary in order to release the Holy Spirit gifts in the saints, as this Revival is by the saints (the clay vessels), as ordained by God.
2. It is necessary in order to reach the “fullness of the gentiles.”
   
   
   

   
   

     I do not tell you to do something I, myself, have not submitted to.  I do not tell you something I have not learned by faith.  I do these things because I love the Lord and I love you.  This Revival is a walk of faith.  I have given you three steps (NUMBERS) because that is what the Lord has given me.  As He gives me more, I will give you more (there IS more.)

     By obeying the Lord, with earnest prayer, letting the Lord's fire refine and purify us, and receiving His empowerment supernaturally in our lives, we can be an instrument of Revival for a needy and hungry world.  Our submission to His will and our prayers can, in fact, speed up the accomplishment of his purposes.

 ...what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and

godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.
